| Following the amazing success of the first edition, in which more than 2,000 people took part, the Gianni Bugno GranFondo Monza-Brianza is back. Join us on 1st May 2008 to experience the unforgettable thrill of cycling side by side with Gianni Bugno on a route devised by the great champion himself that starts and finishes at Monza Racetrack.
The event is organised by the Gianni Bugno G.F. Organising Committee and covers the same routes used last year. Former champion Gianni has used his experience and passion for cycling to devise the three routes, and each one offers a varying degree of difficulty.

(GranFondo 2007 - Start)
The Gianni Bugno G.F. revolves around the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza (Monza Racetrack), where the start and finish lines for all three routes are situated; it will also act as the event’s organisational base where participants can also use shower facilities. Once the amateur cyclists leave the racetrack, they’ll head off towards the heart of Brianza. The most difficult route is 146 km of windy roads with a climb up to Madonna del Ghisallo and an overall difference in altitude of 2,075 m (GPM: Pian Rancio - 975 m.). The 97.8 km route will follow a part of the long route but doesn’t include the stretch from Erba to the banks of Lake Como: the highest point of this route is Colle Brianza at 589 m. The 67 km route is much flatter. It covers the initial and final parts of the other two routes and travels through the centre of Barzago.
Join us for an amazing cycling event.
