On Saturday 1 May the fourth edition of the GranFondo Gianni Bugno Monza – Brianza took place in the beautiful landscape where the twice world champion was born. This unique event charmed over 1,600 cycling amateurs from all over Italy. The first three editions, in which more than 10,000 people took part, were crowned with an amazing success. The charming race route has been drawn by the champion himself who especially loves the Madonna del Ghisallo climb and the passing on Lake of Como banks. The news: the “Bugno” has been included in UCI “Cycling for all” international calendar in 2009 and also features in the AmaTour circuit, the world cup for amateurs. Moreover, this granfondo is the only regional event of the 2010 FCI Italian Championship granfondo and mediofondo.

In the starting package: a technical jersey by Santini designed to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the victory of the Giro d’Italia 1990 by Gianni Bugno when he held on the pink jersey from the very first stage to the last one.
