REGULATION OF THE GRANFONDO INTERNAZIONALE GIANNI BUGNO MONZA E BRIANZA 1 MAGGIO 2010
The Committee Gianni Bugno organizes Saturday 1st May 2010 the 4th edition of the cycle-sport event Granfondo Gianni Bugno Monza-Brianza, the unique regional event of the 2010 FCI Italian Championship granfondo and mediofondo for amateurs and one of the events of the AmaTour – World Cup for amateurs.
PARTECIPATION
Participation is open to all licensed FCI and Sports Promotion Entities (UDACE, Uisp, Acli, AICS, Csi, Endas, Csen, Inlac, Cns Libertas) and foreign federations recognized by UCI. The cycling amateurs of any category, of both sexes aged between 19 and 65 years, can choose between the long and the medium route. The cyclists (15 year-old) and cyclists over 65 years can only access medium-route at an average speed of up to 25 km/h.
ROUTES
The GranFondo Gianni Bugno Monza-Brianza offers two race routes:
• Long-route (granfondo): 151 km (includes timed uphill Superghisallo: Bellagio - Piano Rancio)
• Medium-route (mediofondo): 91 km
Within the limits laid down for participation, each competitor has the freedom to choose the route best suited to him during the race.
MEETING PLACE, START AND FINISH
Opening of the event scheduled at 6.00 am on Saturday 1 May 2010, at the Palazzetto dello Sport in Monza (Pala Iper). Entrance grid time: from 6.3 am to 7.15 am. Starting time is one for all the groups: 7.30 am. The deadline is set for 2.00 pm; arrivals after that time will not be considered valid.
REGISTRATION FEE
The registration fee is of 35.00 euros until 28th April; 45.00 euros from 29th to 30th April. The registration fee includes: race numbers, subscription, package, rich pasta party, mechanical assistance (excluding spare parts), medical care during the race, food and beverage points along the way, showers, shipment results via email.
REIMBURSEMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES
The registration fee is non-refundable for any reason, even in the event of cancellation of the event due to circumstances outside of the Organization (eg natural disasters, administrative revocation of permits, etc. ...).

RACE NUMBERS AND PACKS DISTRIBUTION
TECHNICAL ENVELOPE
In this envelope you will find: race number (pectoral and handlebar), ticket for package claim (see below), ticket for the pasta party, plant area, routes map, regulation.
Delivery to those who perform the original receipt of payment, will take place at the Sports Palace of Monza (Pala Iper) on Friday 30th April from 2.00 pm to 8.00 pm. For sport groups, only one authorized representative shall withdraw the envelope.
PACKAGE
Each participant will be able to collect both the starting package, containing the special technical jersey by Maglificio Santini, and the technical envelope even the same day of the race. If you charge another person to collect your package, this person will be asked to show the delivery coupon.
STARTING GRIDS ORGANIZATION
The race numbers of competitors will be made in different colors to facilitate the entry into the grids. At the first grid RED are allowed: the guests of the Race Organization, Professionals, Master Gold, women and Ranking first 100 (list FCI), the Italian champions of granfondo and mediofondo 2009, the first five riders listed in any category classification of the 2010 Italian Championship, the first 100 riders listed in the 2009 GF Bugno classification. The second grid is the GREEN one and it is reserved for the first 500 people who will enrol. The third grid is YELLOW and it is reserved for amateurs - the race number order will be respected -. The last grid is WHITE and is for tourist cyclists.
CONTROLS ALONG THE RACE
Controls will be established at departure, finish, unexpectedly the long of the race routes, at all the summit of the mountain that is required transit / relief to be classified, and in some passages of the routes fixed by the Jury. The absence of even one transit will result in exclusion from the final classification.
PARTECIPATION FOR NON LICENCED CYCLIST
For non-licensed, upon presentation of a medical certificate, you can subscribe to a daily ticket (according FCI rules) with a premium of 7,00 euros. The request of the card must be made via e-mail at: segreteria@gfbugno.org and should be collected the day before, if possible, or at least an hour before the start of the race. The card is valid only for the day of the race and is entitled to insurance cover for accidents and RCVT provided for licensed FCI.
INDIVIDUAL AWARDS
Top absolute 3 men / women crossing the finish line of 151 km and 91 km routes. Top 3 men / women for each category F.C.I. crossing the finish line of 151 km and 91 km routes. Top 3 riders listed in the time climb of Superghisallo classification. The first absolute men / women of the two routes will wear the technical jersey GF Bugno 2010. Prize-giving at 12.30 pm. The awards that won’t be collected by anyone, will remain available for 90 days after which they will be canceled.
TEAM AWARDS
The teams will be classified on the base of the numbers of team members who will enrol, aside from the race route. Top 15 teams will be rewarded.
TIMING
The timing will be provided by Winning Time. Each athlete will be equipped of its Winning Time Chip to be classified. Are also the Blue Chip ChampionChip exclusively by the year 2002.
The athlete who is not yet in possession of the chip can buy it directly from the POINT WINNING TIME in this area for delivery of parcels to the price of 12 euros and is immediately active and valid FOREVER about events in the world timed by Winning Time.
The athlete can also rent a chip-day ticket only for the event only on payment of a deposit of 10 euros (with return of 7 euros to return the chip). The chip hired must be placed at the ankle with the appropriate range given at the same time.
The validation of the Winning Time Chip for the 2010 season is not mandatory, is made the responsibility of individual cyclists testing and possible modification of their data, and performed exclusively for free on the Internet site www.winningtime.it

INSURANCE
The event is ensured by F.C.I. and covered by a supplementary Liability insurance TO THIRD for the organization.
CYCLING EVENT ORGANIZATION
The event will be bounded by cars equipped with the writing: Inizio manifestazione (Start event), Inizio Gara (Start race), Fine gara (End race), Fine Manifestazione (Close cycling event) in observance of the rules FCI, traffic, and the authorization of the order of the Prefect.
USE OF HELMET
It 'absolutely the use of approved protective helmet.
MECHANICAL AND MEDICAL CARE
Along the route will be located some fixed and mobile service points. Depending on the number of participants, there will be a sufficient number of ambulances with a doctor on board. No private vehicles are allowed to follow the race, if not authorized by the Organization.
GENERAL RULES
The Organizing Committee of the GranFondo Gianni Bugno disclaims any responsibility for themselves and their employees in case of accidents or damage to persons or things that may occur before, during and after the event or effect of it, and see participants involved, either among themselves and with third parties. It reserves the right to exclude athletes who have a wrong behaviour before, during and after the event.
The cyclists who didn’t register, couldn’t enter the group or they will be punished with expulsion and reported by law in the event of accidents.
All competitors must abide by the rules established by the Road Code. The roads are open to traffic.
DISQUALIFICATIONS
Any participant who wears somebody’ else personal number, or gives his own number to someone else, or is responsible for any other serious event, will be disqualified and he will be forbidden to take part in the event from 1 to 3 years. Any participant who throws rubbish out the trash-areas will be desqualified. We warmly invite the participants not to throw rubbish the long of the race routes.

IMPORTANT NOTE
Please note that the event is not a competitive race. Despite the order of arrival and the event is still a cycle rally, during which everyone can proceed with its own pace with the requirements of the Code of the road.
REGULATION UPDATES
The Organizing Committee reserves the right to introduce any changes to this regulation, including changes to the route which may be necessary for technical reasons or traffic. For matters that don’t appear in this regulation, we assume the general rules of the Struttura Amatoriale Nazionale FCI and of the UCI rules as valid.
SIGNATURE
By signing the application form the participant, with its inscription, confirms: that you have read this regulation and to accept it in full, to have met these requirements, to be in psychophysical adequate participation and to be in possession of medical aptitude for cyclist practice. Confirmation also to give their consent (to the senses and the effects of D. Leg. 196, 30.6.2003 as with current conversion and amendments thereto) the use of their personal data by the Organizing Committee GF Gianni Bugno and Winning Time S.r.l. for purposes related to the discharge of promotional and advertising. It also confirms to authorize the organization to acquire the right to use images, still or moving, shooting at the Granfondo Gianni Bugno, where he will appear.
The owner of the personal data will be the Committee Gianni Bugno.
Each participant hereby waives any liability or recourse against the organizers, partners or suppliers of the latter, the staff in any capacity for the organization, sponsors and patrons, as a result of its participation in the event
